It’s only been 1063 days - Day 3 - Epcot F&W

Today was Epcot day. We hadn’t planned an early start, in fact it was meant to be a lay in day but we were conscious of it being Disney+ day and we really wanted to ride Test Track.

With Disney+ day, hotel guests got in an hour early and Disney+ subscribers 30 min before, so we got to Epcot for 8.30 and we got let in just before that to free swag in a hat and a badge celebrating Disney+ day. Nice touch.

We got on test track and then rode mission space right after. We then went over to Club cool which was empty, we tried all the sodas and we both loved the Moldavian Raspberry fizz called Viva and also the Apple Lychee one from Korea.

Our plan had been to do these bits and then go out of the park before coming back for Food and Wine and Harmonious, but it was clear early on this was going to be a busy day as it was the last weekend of F&W, so we flipped the day and stayed at Epcot for longer, with the booths opening at 11, seemed the sensible idea. We were chuffed to realise F&W was still going on, we thought it would have swapped over to Festival of the Holidays as the Xmas Parties has started so we grabbed a book and got planning stops.

We worked our way round the booths and we decided to do Emile’s Fromage Montage, a selection of 5 dishes that led to a completer dessert in a souvenir cup. This was really great fun and would definitely do it again. It encouraged us to try things we may not have done.

We did F&W until about 3pm. We then went and did the next part of our day which was to go to mini golf by the Swolphin and then walk the Boardwalk and see the gingerbread at Beach Club. We love the Boardwalk, having stayed at Beach Club last stay in 2018. We have a really affinity with that whole area so it was wonderful to be there, albeit not staying there.

We went and played the Fantasia mini golf and then back to Beaches and Cream for an once cream float before we decided to head back into Epcot as the sun set. Glorious views over the boardwalk there. God I can’t wait to stay there again.

Back into Epcot to finish our Fromage Montage. The completer dessert was nice, actually, soft serve with cheesecake piece and biscuit topping.

By this point, we’d eaten and drank a fair bit and we felt it was time to retire rather than stay for Harmonious. We’re heading back in May so will do that then.

My feet were knackered - 31,000 steps - and I was ready for bed. Another great day.
