Are you sure, or are you thinking of DCL? I checked Royal Caribbean’s requirements after reading 2point’s suggestion and their website just says 12+.

(Unfortunately the dates don’t work out for us to replace our DCL cruise with RC anyway, but just want to keep on top of all these ever-changing rules while we consider our options.)

First week is universal, then we were planning to drive down to Miami for the cruise and fly home from there. My husband has floated the idea of flying somewhere else in the States for a few days, dude ranch, New Orleans etc. Flights are already booked to fly home from Miami.

So what would your back up plan be?
We’re in a similar position - we fly into Orlando, have a week booked at Universal then fly to Miami for the DCL cruise and finally fly home from Miami.

I’ll be interested to hear what you decide on. Our trip definitely won’t be happening as planned. Until last week, I was hopeful that my 14 year old could be offered a second vaccine in time, so I didn’t see the original 12+ requirement as a hopeless situation, but I also have a 10 year old, so this new update counts us out.

The week we’re now stuck in Miami includes Easter weekend, so I really don’t want to be there, but I don’t know if it’s possible for us to move our Orlando-Miami flights without having to cancel and rebook the entire trip. I know Orlando will be manic that week too, so a cruise was the perfect way to spend the week - just don’t know whether to cancel outright or keep trying to come up with Plan C!

Thanks for all the input. I think this week has shown there's no point trying to make plans for 9 months away. I'm going to have a think and make a list of the last dates for free cancellation on various parts.
