We fly out tomorrow - how in the name of the wee man am I meant to have anything arranged?
I imagine our only option will be private tests over there? |

This really beyond a joke now , I am absolutely kicking myself and deeply regret booking holiday. Total pain and unpleasant experience and just totally deflated now, I need to take stock and consider whether just to throw towel in and cancel. Sorry for being so depressing !

How would I do that? I’m flying on a Friday at 8am? Would I just take one that morning?

I totally understand where you are coming from but my parents flew out yesterday and have just boarded a cruise and they have said it’s all worth it when you arrive in Florida and feel the sun on your face.
I agree it’s completely frustrating and annoying but I’m thinking of the light at the end of the tunnel or the sunshine at the end of the flight haha 😂

We did LFTs to return to the UK in the summer. We used Chronomics where we took the tests with us, did the test 48 hours before. Uploaded a photo of the test strips and then got an email with certificates about 30 mins later.
Not much use if you are already in Orlando but we will do this again if they meet the requirements and BA have a discount where the tests are £17. |

I think if you are not treble jabbed or your party (children ) jabbed then there is a potentially high risk that just one may test positive somewhere along the way
Otherwise I personally are not overly concerned - I can see the resonating behind it . It will make people think more about being jabbed and it should (could ?) do away with the day 2 PCR if we rests before we board . My plans will go ahead Unchanged . I doubt we will be able to use NHS test so will investigate what I need to do Once the dust settles and instructions become clear noting that they are almost certain to change again in next week or so ….. |
