Washing powder/softener best combo
Hi
Sorry for the boring thread 😬 I’ve just ordered a new washing machine after weeks of softener not taking on the wash. Anyways what’s your favourite combination for lovely smell and long lasting? Thanks x |

Seeing as we do a fair bit of DGDs washing , just use Fairy for everything, including ours.
As we are retired and don’t really do anything to make our clothes particularly dirty or smelly, the non bio stuff is ok. Not sure I would be doing the same if we were washing my nurses uniform or DHs builder’s stuff! |

I use Surf (powder or liquid depending on what’s on offer) and Asda own fabric softener.

Fairy or Persil non-bio and then Fairy or Comfort Pure for softener.
I’ve used all of these since DD was born.

I use Costco's own Kirkland Bio washing liquid in the huge bottle and don't use softener as the liquid alone is brilliant. The smell seems to really last too.

I chop and change as I get 'nose blind' to the scent if if I use one for too long.
My favourite fabric softeners are fairy, comfort pure, comfort blue, and lenor yellow. I usually use persil or ariel liquid, whatever's on offer. Sometimes use aldis own too |

Persil powder bio or non and comfort blue. Then a lenor sheet if drying.
We get tons of comments on how great our clothes smell lol. I used to chop and change my softener but stick with this now. Also want to add that I would never use liquid. I used it in my old machine and didn’t realise that was what was making it smell and it left a really awful residue. I’ve never had this issue with powder.
