We will be putting our tree up the last weekend in November. I usually don't put the lights on until 1st December. Can't wait

We selected our tree this weekend from the local tree farm. It will get chopped down when we will collect it on the 1st December when we will decorate a day or two later.
They do it this was partly because it stretches the fun out and they encourage you to decorate your tree in the field (it looks brilliant from the motorway as you drive past). And partly because it gives them an idea of how many trees they will need.

Ours will likely go up 20 th November, we would normally put it up the weekend after that but have a busy weekend planned for that weekend, and it takes me a full day to put everything up.
Usually start to take decs down Jan 1 st after everyone has left after tea. I love putting them up, but love the feeling of tidiness when I take them down! We just left the outside ones up last year, and I bought a new silver Garland from John Lewis this week for my hallway and I must confess I’ve already put it round the picture! |

As close to the beginning of Dec as we can.
We put everything up once the kids have gone to bed then tell them the elves did it. DH works shifts we have to do it when he is off the next day as it takes ages so it’s a late night. |

1st Dec for us.
We also decorate the front of the house. It's tat Central but the kids around love it that takes a couple of days to complete. As a kid our tree was put up two weeks before Christmas.

Will be 4th dec this year. We do it at the weekend and don’t like to put them up in November. Can’t wait though! We have Lapland this year and my eldest is on the cusp of not believing so want this one to be magical.

Usually 2 weeks before Xmas as we get a real one 🎄
Some decorations are up already as I’ve got my Grandsons staying so quickly rushed out and got more and can’t be bothered to pack them away 🤦🤣 I think Henry will love it as we’ve put some in his bedroom 🙊🎄🎅🏻 Spent last night putting up about 100 snowflake stickers 😳❄️☃️This is good for me & Hubbie as we aren’t really Christmassy people |
