Advice re buying a record player
My daughter is wanting a record player for Christmas and I wonder if anyone could help.
The one she has suggested is a AUDIO TECHNICA AT-LP60XBT Belt-Drive Bluetooth Turntable currys/gbuk/audio-...4908-pdt.html# Would this be a suitable easy to use first one? Would she be able to connect it to her AirPods to listen to, and would she need some speakers as well? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance. |

My daughter has this in white! She loves it! We got her pioneer DJ speakers in white to match! Brilliant sound from it!

My daughter has a Crossley one in a suitcase.
It has Bluetooth so it should work with speakers. I like the suitcase style as she doesn’t have a lot of room in her bedroom. Plus I think it looks cute. |

My daughter has the USB version of this, not that we've used the USB on it. We've connected some speakers with a built in amp.

Would someone be kind enough to explain to me what anyone would want an analogue music system (record player) and then access the sound digitally (Bluetooth) ?

Because their grumpy parents don’t want to hear their music and they have AirPods permanently attached to their ears

I assume you still get the imperfections of the record through the headphones.
To be honest my daughter tends not to use headphones but sometimes I ask her too. |
