:) Quietest days for parks

Hi All,

New to the forum! Booked to go July 2022. Just planning parks and days. Can anyone tell me if there are certain days that are busier at certain parks?
Is it worth avoiding for example extra magic hours that hotels offer (not sure if offering at mo).
Also any advice on best place to buy Disney tickets - do they ever do deals?
Thanks in advance all

The best you can hope for on deals is when the sellers offer things like free KSC tickets they are never discounted.

Look at the park future here or touringplans for business.

Water parks are always busiest at weekends.

Welcome

There used to be more predictable crowd pattern with EMH being restricted to a single park per day but now that it's early entry at every park, it's less noticeable.

MK - Will be busy every day. Go whenever suits.
HS - Currently the most in demand park ride wise, so also busy every day.
Epcot - Best mid-week, avoid Friday evenings and weekends due to drinking crowds.
AK - Least in demand now, go whenever you want.
Waterparks - Busy on weekends due to locals.

But advice may change depending when Guardians opens, it's scheduled for some time in summer. This could shift some of the demand at HS towards Epcot.

There's currently some Black Friday offers for tickets on, which are probably the most discounts you'll see on tickets. There's never huge sales for Disney. Check the tickets board for more info.

A number of sites currently have discounted Disney tickets, Orlando Attraction Tickets currently have a fairly decent discount in their black friday deals. Black friday seems to be the best time to purchase.

July is a very busy time at the parks. Weekends generally tend to be worse all year round. Have a look at the busy day guide on the dibb and consider touring plans and other websites which will give you an idea of where to go when.

Well, other than weekends being generally busier because more locals will visit, then there are no particular busier days.

There are busier periods though. So around Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving Week (ie. this week) are really busy times. The summer holidays (June to mid-August) also tend to be busy, although they are not anywhere near as busy as Christmas and Thanksgiving. Any time when the Americans have school holidays will be busy, as you might expect.

Extra Magic Hours are now somewhat different to what they used to be. In the morning, onsite guests can now get in 30 minutes earlier than offsite guests at all of the parks. So this means there's no park that is busier than others.

Given how much things have changed over the last 18 months, many busy day guides will still be using historic data and this will now be out of date.

Look at the list of US holidays, use crowd calendars as a guide (surprising how much they differ) and general guidelines e.g. Epcot on the weekend with a festival is always going to be busier than midweek.
I’m just about to make the park reservations for May 2022. I think I it’s possible to worry to much about the crowd forecasts. I normally use Touring Plans and, last holiday, got daily emails reflecting the changes in the forecast. But I’d still say their numbers were a bit on the low side based on what I saw. Based on the number of people currently visiting I’d add a bit more on! It’s a guideline.
