Mobile Eating off site near to Disney

Booked for August but I am too much of a scaredy cat to drive over there so we get around by Uber.

Alas no dining plan on the horizon so we have decided to eat off site more next trip.

Where do you recommend that isn’t too far away from the world? We will be staying at POR.

We pretty much eat anything but love steaks and Japanese food.

Personally, if you are not driving I would eat on site. You can keep costs down by eating at Disney Springs where they have a large selection of dining options for most budgets

We will mainly be onsite but thought it might be an opportunity to try other places too. We will be eating at Raglan Rd and Morimoto at Springs.

Depending how many of you there are, the cost to Uber back and forth is likely to wipe out a lot of the savings eating off site. You'd be looking at $30 round trip easily, even for nearby restaurants. My onsite TS meals (solo) don't even cost that much.

If you don't mind walking just get the boat to DS & walk up into Lake Buena Vista, whilst some of the options have gone with the closing of the Crossroads, there is still Olive Garden,Kobe etc On a quick google of farefinder you are $10/each way in a taxi & Uber/Lyft might be cheaper, IMO you can easily save the $20/$30 eating offsite - we reckoned $20/person difference in 2019
With very limited options at POR you are always going to be travelling somewhere. At DS we regularly eat at Polite Pig & Chef Art's & use our Landry's card for T-Rex & Rainforest as last minute can't decide nights.

I had a quick look at the area and see there in Longhorns, Olive Garden and Kobe. We would normally use dining credits and go to yachtsman so definitely savings to be had by going to longhorns. Just did a Lyft quote as you suggested and it looks like it’s 20 bucks round trip which is fine with me 😀😀😀

Got my Landry card too handy for last minute decisions 😀

We will stop in at Longhorns when going to Premium Outlets, we normally walk to outlets, Longhorns & then Lyft to Disney Springs. We are planning a few trips to Dr Philips next year, currently without car as Hire prices are just crazy at the minute.

I had to go google Dr Philips 😅

Agree on car prices. I am considering doing a hire and stop being a wuss but the prices are crazy so it’s Lyft/Uber for us.
