Recommend an ipad/Tablet please

Could someone in the know please recommend a good make and model of Ipad/Tablet...not looking for a top of the range machine just looking for something cheap n cheerful, something I can do a bit of Dibbbing on and browse or download our pic's.

I recently bought a Motorola Xoom from Argos half price now down to £250. It great and does every thing you have asked for.

takes photos, movies, down load movies, browse internet android apps

Its sold with honeycomb OS but will up grade to the latest ice cream sandwich when it is released in this country.

I am sure lots of people will recommend an IPad but IMO they are not worth the extra cash

Not sure ...would € 200 - € 250 buy something decent?

Would push the boat out a bit more for something special or a bargain.

I've just checked their website but its not listed on their dot ie website but lucky for me we are only 30 mins from the border of Northern Ireland so I could buy in Newry, Co Down. Looks class definately 1 to consider.

I've just bought a tablet, after much looking and research came up with this AMPE A10 (basic unbranded 10.1" tablet running Android ICS 4) from EBellking. ebellking/android-tab...blets/ampe-a10
It arrived in Friday, so just getting used to it. Loaded up my photopass picture which arrived this morning , and some ripped DVDs.

Screen is the same type as an Ipad, so the picture quality is stunning. It probably sits between the Ipad 2 & 3 in specs.

Best of all, £130 delivered!

Hi, only comes with WIFI but I asked my phone provider (network 3) if I could tether it to my phone and yes I can for £5 a month.

I did start a thread about this a while back, will have a look for it and post it on here

Just had a look on Argos website, they have now got it at £279 for online order. This is the thread I started when I was thinking about buying one.

I'm sorry I'm to biased I love my iPad.
Having said that,maybe if I had a different tablet before anything beginning with I, came out, I may have liked them as well.
