Everything I have heard and read points to a 2022 opening. The Epcot transformation is a multiphase project with a number of enhancements-
inc a number of new films (some already opened), space restaurant, ratatouille, and Harmonius opening this year, the play pavilion and Guardians of the galaxy opening in 2021. Other announced projects and yet to be announced opening then from 2022 onwards. Edited at 06:40 PM. |

Great photos of the construction - does not seem to do justice to the sheer enormity of Spaceship Earth. Sad to see it close for such a long time but as with all the changes in Epcot, I'm sure the wait will be worthwhile.

Im glad they just updating it as its the only attraction that really is what Epcot was about when it opened in 1982. I wonder if they will still take your picture

When I went in 1981 we stayed at the Royal Plaza, and I can remember seeing this being built from the balcony.

I wont lie, I am gutted this will be closed when we go and it will still be closed if we go next year! Who knows when and if we get to go again after that.
