We’ve done PCH and Yosemite before so we’re going via Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP instead which were under 6 ft of snow on our last trip so we couldn’t see them properly.

If you’re doing Yosemite then I probably would say you can skip Muir Woods - it’s a bit of a trek out of SF and there’s more than enough to fill 3 days in SF in my opinion.
To be honest I probably would skip Muir Woods but my hubby loved it when we went 18 years ago so I suppose I should let him pick somewhere we go😉

You can do Muir woods as part of Dylan’s ultimate cycle hire, when you pick up, cycle the Golden Gate and down to Sausalito before dumping the bikes. After a couple of hours, they pick you up in a minibus and take you through Marin to Muir Woods and leave you for an hour before driving you back over the bridge to Fisherman’s or Chinatown. No hassle to it at all!
