Alternative? Dont hire a car. Depends what you are doing on your holiday. The next one for us is mainly disney with a couple of days "elsewhere" thrown in, discovery cove and probably seaworld etc.

Our package gives us a coach drop and pickup to our hotel so that means im sorted to and from the airport. for the rest I will simply uber, I have a $20 a day uber budget just on the hotel parking fee alone.

I intend on doing a "grocery online shop and deliver to hotel" - I havent really looked into this properly but I know there is a dibber who specialises in this sort of thing so I can possibly pay to arrange a "convenient hotel drop off time" for this. Or I could just uber to a walmart etc.

Factor in a $100 each way KSC uber and you might still be better off without a car as crazy as that sounds.

uber would be our last resort.. but worry there might be a long wait for uber to arrive. and delays everything..

you could look for a single day hire of "anything they have onhand" for your KSC day, that way you can get away with the smallest vehicle that fits your party. Then find a different way to get to and from the airport.
