Afternoon Tea in the evening?!

Hello all, A bit of a long shot, but I am trying to find somewhere, preferably within 30 minutes drive or so of Croydon in Surrey, to go for afternoon tea on a Saturday evening.

I have spent about an hour on Google but no luck as yet.

I found a tipsy evening tea, but it was up in London.

Many thanks if you can help

What about The Ivy in Dorking? I would say perhaps 35 mins drive?

Nutfield Priory is nice and does a good afternoon tea.

Or Langshott Manor in Horley, possibly a bit longer than 30 mins, but it’s lovely there too.

Thank you for the replies - I am looking for somewhere to have afternoon tea in the evening though - around 6.30pm.

It's the time that I am getting stuck on!

Ah yes, most seem to stop at about 4:30 latest. Might be worth calling some of them though to see if they can accommodate?

Do you have to go somewhere or could you have one delivered to home? We’ve had a few delivered at home from local businesses and they’ve been lovely.

That's a great idea mason1. I think we were hoping to get a bit dressed up and go somewhere though!

I think you will struggle with that, especially on a Sat night as most places will be starting full evening service around that time.

Totally agree even in London where there is a proliferation of places serving afternoon tea none of the hotels run past 5 or 6 o'clock and many of them finish much earlier.
