Picking up Disney giftcard from World of Disney in Disney Springs

Hi, has anyone done this, we have picked it up before at the Virgin desk at MCO, but this time we have to go to World of Disney which is fine, just wondered if anyone else has done this. It's booked through Kenwood with Walt Disney World Travel Company.

Yeah it’s pretty painless. Ask a CM when you get to WOD which desk to go to as the shop in undergoing renovations so it may change. It was different last time for us front the time before.

Yes, we’ve done this a few times, it’s not the easiest process, for a company with so called cutting edge technology it’s a bit painful and takes ages, I still don’t understand why they don’t add it to your magic bands x

Without sounding cynical, like a lot of these offers their will be a proportion of people who never claim the gift card value, however if it was added automatically that potential saving for Disney would be lost. I cant think of another reason why they wouldn't just add the credit to the wrist band at check-in

Yes, and it's very easy. Only the lead booker can pick it up though and remember to take photo ID. We usually just do it when we're visiting DS anyway

Yes I did it last month. It was a pain as DS is not a place I'd choose to go. So I hopped on a bus to DS, picked up my gift card then hopped on a bus back again.

Also, they make you collect it from a shop... so you can find things to spend it on

Thanks everyone, we are planning to use it to pay off the balance of our room bill I think. Or restaurant tips or x4 Disney hoodies!
