That doesn't make any difference. It's possible for one to be accepted and the other rejected. I've read about it a lot over the last couple of years. EG, you might have the same name as an overstayer who overstayed after you did your last one. In which case it would be rejected.

I take all the points above so will sort it out sooner rather than later but doubt anyone will have the same name as we have an unusual surname!

Can occur when using the keyboard tab key to move down to the next question which causes 'no' to become 'yes', if using the tab key ensure you've clicked out of the drop down box area first.

Sadly Florida Addict reported in Sept (updated recently) a friend was advised at check-in his ESTA was rescinded - see HERE. Apparently he works for an American multinational and within the past year his last three visits were fine. They had ETA approved and flew to Canada for a break - upon return he attended the US Embassy and was granted a 10 year visa. Apparently it may be a 'same name/no fly list' scenario situation, leading to him being flagged which, in turn, saw his ESTA rescinded.

Just a quick update me and the other half have successfully had our ESTA's sorted now, lesson learnt not going to leave it as late next time.
