Bubble
Ok so we have paid an extra £30 pp each way to book seats. Just went on my booking to see what seats are still available and there are seats in the bubble on the way back.
However when I choose these it wants me to pay £140.00 for four seats. I called virgin and they advise I have to pay this and then wait for a refund of the £120 which we should receive in 10 days time. Anyone heard of this before and do you think bubble is worth it? Thanks |

i'm a bit confused - what is the £30 per person you've already paid for? Bubble seats are now extra (ie they're not free to book, even if you have a Classic fare and you want to book an economy seat in the bubble). I paid £28 per seat over my Classic fare to book economy bubble seats on our outbound flight. Row 75 (front row of economy in the bubble) is more expensive than that because they are also extra leg room seats.

I think what they're saying is right in that you have to get the first payment refunded. A few years ago we'd booked bubble seats, then got a good rate for an upgrade to PE. They couldn't deduct the money we'd paid to reserve our bubble seats from the PE upgrade. I had to pay in full, then get the bubble seat cost refunded.
As you've paid for reserving seats, I'm guessing that you booked your flights before the new Virgin ticket classes were introduced.

Personally, we love the bubble and would definitely pay £20 more to sit up there

definitely worth it alone for the simple reason they let you off before economy downstairs. So your quicker though immigration (I say qick we've always had a little wait hahaha).
But yes, its worth it, and it feels less cramped and is quieter in my opinion!
