Does anyone have any experience of using the above. Saw a lovely condo in clearwater but never came across the sight before.

We use it and have a property on it too (our home annex). The owners are verified so if there are problems Im sure you can claim your money back.

Was on TV this morning that airbnb have done a lot to prevent fraud, I.e .email addresses are anonymous so you can only be contacted via the site. Always ensure you pay via the site then your payments are covered by them

We have used them four or five times (in France, Seattle and Canada). They don't release the money until after you check in.

You do get the mobile number for the person that has booked to stay in your property which is very useful and I always get photo ID when people check in.
