How do DVC point rentals work?

Was chatting to a friend the other day about DVC points the other day and we both wondered how it works if you rent them...

Do you pay per person per night per point or it is per point per night?

Can you book the dining plan if you rent DVC points?

Can you still book Fastpasses at 60 days out like a normal onsite stay?

Any other advantages/disadvantages to how it works? Am very curious!

Thank you very much, I'll go take a look! I didn't know there was a DVC forum. Would have looked there first otherwise lol!
