Top of the World lounge

Hi

Does anyone know the latest rules on access to the top of the World lounge? We are DVC members but won't be staying on site on our next trip. Does that mean we won't be allowed in as we aren't staying at a Disney Resort?

Thanks

Victoria

I'm sure you have to be staying at a WDW Resort. They scan your magic band before taking you to the elevator.

From Mr Tom's quote above, if they're not on your reservation, then no.

We have plenty of times. As long as it's not a busy time, the staff don't seem to mind. We've spent lots of time (and $$$) with friends in there.

Important to emphasise, any dvc resale buyer staying anywhere on property can get in the TOTWL. Lots of people seem to believe you can't get in as a resale buyer- you can.

Can someone explain what this is please? Is it "just" a lounge serving drinks and nibbles or is there more to it? What makes it special? Would we go before or after Contempo Cafe?

PS just looked at Contempo Cafe menu - no more pulled pork

What makes it special is that you get the most incredible view over Magic Kingdom and in particular watching the evening fireworks. I'll never forget seeing all the perimeter fireworks at a Hallowishes presentation - something you couldn't possibly see all of if you were in the actual park. The lounge offers drinks, nibbles and snack meals.

Lounge and bar (note the monorail mural):
