Best Ciema to go to in Orlando?

Hi,

We fly out tomorrow and my daughter really wanted to see HOME - are there any really good cinemas in Orlando that we could see it at or should we wait until we get home?

I was just thinking the US cinema experience might be different to that of the UK

Thanks!

There is the AMC theatres in Downtown Disney, cant comment yet as never been but it is on our list of things to do in September as you can use the Dine in feature and eat a meal while watching, if this is something you are interested in, otherwise it is normal seats too I am sure there are plenty other movie theaters too

There's one opposite the rosen at pointe orlando it's a huge IMAX one within a little shopping complex & Jonny rockets burger joint.. It's worth a visit, plus the large car park is right next door.. On idrive 👍😎

Hi BB,

I have personally not experienced going to a movie in Orlando but both of my adult children (both have degrees in Film therefore are real film buffs and watch films analytically!) and their partners have on several occasions and they absolutely loved it, it is a different experience to watching a movie in a UK cinema the American audience are more vocal! But in a good way making it more fun, they went to the AMC at Downtown Disney.

AMC DTD is our local we always have at least a couple of visits. They do also have a dining and a movie option where you can eat as you watch the movie. We dont usually do that we like to go and eat first in one of the Disney restaurants.

You also have the option to go to Universal Citywalk again another huge movie theatre. Point Orlando has Muvico sometimes we go there have something to eat or go for a drink later.

Not keen on Festival Bay which is the top end of IDrive find it very dark and isolated coming out of a late movie. We actually got followed one night across the parking lot. We were the only ones there. He followed us and we moved it along trying to look casual about it. Saw him as we drove out leaning in a car talking to 2 guys. They watched us all the way out the car park.

The theatres over there are great with huge comfy seats. We always take a little throw with us as the icy blast of the air con does catch up with you after bit.

We will hopefully soon be getting a new cinema open down at Posner Park on US27. That will give us even more options.

Alison

We went to see big hero 6 last year at down town Disney. It seems Americans love audience participation even when it's a film. We also saw disneys enchanted and Fred clause in 2007 when we went (also DTD) and again lots of audience participation and clapping at then end
