Kennedy space centre or not?
Just adding finishing touches to the plans for this years trip, I was wondering if Kennedy space centre is worth a visit?
Is there much to do, or is it just mainly looking at rockets? We are staying on site at Caribbean Beach and haven't got a car but I think you can get tickets which include transport. What do you think?

It's very interesting, plenty too see. There's plenty of rockets to look at obviously but there's also lots of stuff about NASA and the history of the space program etc. the Space Shuttle part is brilliant and you can go in a launch simulator. We were lucky enough to see a launch too. I would recommend it.

I would say definitely worth a visit There isn't a lot there to do in regards to rides, only 1 if my memory serves me right, but there are plenty of interactive exhibitions and the rockets are very impressive, especially the Saturn 5 which was used for the moon landings.

Well worth a visit if you have any sort of interest in spacey stuff, you don't have to be a space nerd by any stretch.
When we went, the bit we skipped was "looking at rockets", and that was before the latest shuttle stuff was put there. |

I last visited it around 10 years ago but I loved it! Definitely an experience!

Some like, some don't. My DH and to a lesser extent DS (10) loved it, me and DD (5) less so, but worth a try at least once if you are close by at least once in your life! It's certainly not about rides though.

It's definitely worth a visit, if only just to see the space shuttle Atlantis it really takes your breath away and it's an easy drive from orlando

Ah great, thanks everyone, I think I'll add it to my plans. I know my DS7 and DH would love it, not sure about DD11, but it sounds like there's plenty to do for a day

Thanks, I'll have a look, I've used them before so know they are a good company but I wasn't sure whether to buy tickets over there, or buy before we go
