Please help us decide - Wild Willy's or Spirit of the Swamp?
My wife, daughter (9) and I are heading back to Disney for the last week of October/first week of November and we've decided to go for an airboat trip. We've never been on one before but have always wanted to.
We've narrowed it down to Wild Willy's or Spirit of the Swamp, but can't decide! Has anyone been on both so they can directly compare? Or any experience of either to share? I was set on Wild Willy's as the TripAdvisor reviews are extremely favourable, but SotS have a 2 hour excursion that really appealed to us although the cost is understandably quite a bit more. The headsets are also quite appealing and I've seen nothing but praise for SotS on the Dibb, but TripAdvisor reviews aren't all great (still good mind you!). Hmm, decisions, decisions... Love spirit of the swamp and have been many times. If you do the 2 hour tour they drop you off on an island so you can explore. We saw lots of wildlife and the raccoons were gorgeous!

I was trying to make the same decision but went for Spirit of the Swamp in the end. We don't go until July but I have to say they have been super helpful about making the booking and told us that we didn't have to pay until nearer the time which I hadn't even asked for.

Wild willys all the way for me.
Have booked a return visit when we are back in Florida in June and we cant wait. We got lost and almost missed our ride time but called them and they rearranged it for later that day with no problem at all. Saw all sorts of wildlife including a bald eagle (I was in awe!) The kids loved holding the baby alligators back at the shack and were given alligator necklaces and pencil toppers free of charge which was a lovely touch. |
