Still thinking about visiting Celebration
We were going to go last year but never got round to it. Please would somebody who knows the place give me an idea of what we can do there for a day, it's me and my mother who is elderly but active and likes to shop, me I just like to be out in the sun I don't care what I do!

I think it's more realistic to do a half day there. If you go on a Sunday morning theres a farmers market to browse round. There's a lake for you to walk round with some gorgeous views, a few shops (although quite expensive), a Starbucks so you can stop for a coffee, a few restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We like to go for a drive around to see some of the houses on our way to/back out of Celebration. |

We always spend a couple of hours here on our last day. Best little coffee shop in Florida there.
Watch out for alligators in the lake! |

It's not really a whole day thing there are not loads of shops definitely worth a look if you have a couple of hours to spare. It's very Stepford Wives also reminds me a lot of the Jamie Lee Curtis Halloween movies particularly in Autumn (perfect little town with picket fences)
It is a pretty little town centre with a few nice restaurants and speciality stores. We bank at Bank of America Celebration branch and often pop over for an ice cream and sit on the rocking chairs by the lake to eat it. Nice for a drive around the town looking at the lovely houses really comes in to its own at holiday times Halloween and Christmas 4th July Celebrations etc. Alison |

Definitely not a full day for us. We tend to go for Sunday brunch and a stroll around the lake or an evening meal and a beer whilst watching the world go by. We usually spend about 3 hours there.
It was lovely when our kids were really little as they loved getting completely soaked in the water spurts by the lake. |

Basically, the Disney name gives what is an upmarket housing estate, added "kudos", IMO. Visited a couple of times, over the years, just in case we'd missed something, but we fail to see the merit of a special visit. Maybe we just don't "get it"!

Half day for us too. I like to have lunch there followed by an ice-cream by the lake from Kilwins - yum. There's lots of little shops to browse in and some lovely "stuff" to buy but a lot of it is over-priced compared to department stores. It's still on of our "must-do's" though

Agree with the above - maximum of a half day and more like a couple of hours.
I wouldn't make the effort if I wasn't driving. Personally, we very much enjoy going for a wander around the lakes on the boardwalks and poking our heads into a few shops. You can certainly have a meal / coffee / ice cream too, but it's not a shopping destination in its own right.
