Hellicopter Tour
Has anyone taken one of the Helicopter Tours over Orlando?
How high do you go? (not great with heights- ok on 747 though) How far do you travel? Fast? Long? What's the cost roughly? Has anyone who has a fear of heights done this, if so how did you get on? My DW desperately would like to do this and this time round I'm sure will, but I would like to as well but don't want to ruin it for anyone else hahahahahaha Thanks for your feedback Ian |

We've done a couple from the one near McDonalds on H192.
No idea on exact height but I was fine and I'm terrible. It takes me to go across the Forth Road Bridge and I can't do the balloon thing at DTD, yet I'm ok on planes. Can't sit next to the window tho. The trip that usually gets advertised to draw you in will probably be around the $30 mark but it'll only last 2 or 3 minutes and won't go far. The trips we've done have been 15-25mins and cost around $120 each (can't remember exactly). We've flown over Disney, wasn't that keen on that tbh as you can see how fake most things are. Flew over Sea World, International Dr, Universal and H192 - these were good. DW enjoyed the Disney flight so I wouldn't put you off doing it. I don't suppose you go that fast but it probably feels faster as it's a small helicopter. Have you tried looking on You Tube to see if anyone has posted videos of any of the Orlando helicopter tours? |

Www.orlandohelitours is the one we've used. Prices seem cheaper now than they were when we did it.
There's a great FAQ section. Flights are 2000ft above sea level. Edited at 07:19 PM. |
