OK LETS GO!
I always hate how food reports have to start with pictures of plane food so I'm going to cheat a bit... DAY -1 We considered our holiday to start the night before we flew as we stayed over in Manchester centre, so I'm going to show you the pics from that as they are way prettier than plane food! We visited the Alchemist on New York Street, a particular favourite! They specialise in cocktails but they also do lovely food too. We'd both been on pretty strict diets/fitness regimes leading up to this trip but all of that went out the window at this point... Here's how it looks inside: And here's the cocktails I had (Chris had beer which I did not photograph because meh, all looks the same): Clockwise from bottom left - Pornstar Martini, Passionfruit Meringue Martini, Wow-woo, Screwball, Cinnamon Apple - all amazing! Foodwise: I started with calamari (top right), he had duck spring rolls (centre right) - both were so tasty! For mains he ordered the fish finger sandwich and I went for the BBQ Southern fried chicken wrap, and we went half and half. Again both were yummy, I didn't manage any of the chips though. No desserts, we were stuffed. We stumbled back to our hotel and crashed out ready for the next day's excitement! |

They look like actual proper cocktails rather than fake ones!

LOVE the cocktails at The Alchemist. That meringue one is a particular favourite! Looking forward to reading more
