The best bet and depending on how many days you want in universal parks is to check in at either hard rock, royal pacific or bay hotel and that way you get unlimited fastpass.
as an example check in Friday night and check out 6am Saturday morning and have all day Saturday in the park with the fastpass at no extra cost other than hotel bill. You can leave car in there car park all day as well |

Just wanted to give an update as we have now been to Universal. Getting the pass was really simple. Guest Services asked how long we were here for and gave us a pass for the whole time.

Thanks for that. We are having a night in RPR for the front of line passs but my DS loves Universal so this will make our trip much more enjoyable.

Hi sorry to jump in - that's great it was simple for you.
Can I ask is the pass you get simply the same as an express pass. I'm asking for a friend who has a son with special needs and I had recommended a stay at universal. They will get express passes anyway but I'm wondering if the disability pass would be the same thing in terms of quickness in queues for them ? Sorry to jump in - I promised I'd help them find out

They are slightly different, on the disability pass if the queue was under 30 minutes you could enter the express line straight away, if it was more than 30 minutes you have to get a return time to enter the queue. |

I agree with others, booking a deluxe with express passes will make a much smoother experience. You can just join the express lines.
The disability system is great but there are a lot of people who have these and the system is different in that you have to get your Disability pass validated for each ride which can be a queue in itself as there are lots of people with them. You then have to either join the express line or regular line anyway (if less than 30min queue) or be given a return time to join the queue. You can also only hold 1 ride at a time, but with express you can go ride to ride. The disability pass does not really remove queuing, nothing does. The express pass lessens it more than the Disability pass though 👍
