The Kennedy website has an events page where you can search your dates.

Check the local news channels frequently we've seen them cancelled at the last minute but one of the best views we've ever had was in Hollywood. Studios just by the steamboat never heard the place totally hushed till it went over then a great roar

We watched the 2nd to last Space Shuttle launch from the viewing plaza where you exit Kraken from (after the photo shop). Looked pretty amazing even from that distance - you could only think what the crew on the Shuttle were thinking at that time.
Sea World did announce the launch over the PA, so you knew when to look out. |

You used to be able to see the shuttles quite well from Orlando. (We were just leaving MCO to go home to Lake Mary on 417 when the shuttle with John Glenn launched, all the traffic stopped and everyone got out of their cars, right in the middle of the road, to watch). Now a days, though the rockets are much smaller and you don't see very much from Orlando.

This is a launch a few months ago, when our daughter lived in Cocoa Beach.

I've had a quick look and cocoa beach looks a good place to see it. Does it get busy here?
