Oh I'd love to see a launch but I'm the only one interested in the family .They all think it's too long a drive for what it is .But I love the place .Would love to go up in space .Funny really because I can get really travel sick so perhaps not an ideal astronaut .But we'll be there then so I'll see if I can talk the family into it

its definitely worth checking out if you can. theres tons of places to get a good view, just park up on the side of the road nearby and watch.
just bear in mind that a *lot* of launches get delayed and/or scrubbed. sometimes with very little notice. dont let a launch dictate (or ruin) your plans too much this is a launch from 2012 - it took off around 10pm. we checked at 8pm that it was still on schedule (it was) so took a drive over to the coast. was a mindblowing experience, and something i would recommend to everyone! |

Saw a launch when we went this July and it was the highlight of the holiday. You can buy Kennedy tickets and then nearer the time, or in the day you can buy tickets to view from a couple of sites. We payed $20 dollars extra each and got bused to the Saturn Visitor Center (I think it was sleds onetime like that, too excited at the time to notice details) to watch. This is 6 miles from launch site and we had a great view after the ticket had cleared the trees. There is a site 3 miles from launch that Kennedy bus you to but these tickets cost more and depending on the time of the launch, you may be waiting around for a few hours. Definitely a must do though, once in a lifetime opportunity. I found out lots of info by just ringing Kennedy and they were really helpful. Word of warning though, launches do get rescheduled quite frequently. Hope you get to see one. Enjoy 😀🚀
