Which dvc AK Resort?
Wishful thinking maybe but my 7 month window opens up this week.
Currently booked in SSR for a resort stay. The kids fancy animal kingdom lodge. My options are Kidani with savanna view or Jambo with standard view (both 1 bed). Anybody stayed in either / both and what would you recommend? I have 2 boys who will be 11 and 8 when (if) we get there.

Personally I prefer Kidani, also the 1br has the chair bed as well as the sofa bed. My 6’4’’ son was very comfy on the chair bed. Also the extra shower is useful.
Love the pool and gym at Kidani, not as busy and more relaxing. Advantage to Jambo is the Mara but I don’t mind the walk from Kidani. Whichever you choose will be great - let’s hope we can get there. 🤞🏻 |

I love Jambo for the atmosphere but only stay there for a concierge booking. I prefer Kidani, it feels more relaxed, the 1 bed has the extra bathroom which is really useful and the underground parking is a huge bonus.

The pool area is much better at Kidani but we prefer the atmosphere and wow factor of Jambo House

To me the extra bathroom at Kidani would put above Jambo any day. It makes life so much easier
The drawback with Kidani is lack of counter service but it is very easy to get over to Jambo If using the buses they all (apart from Disney Springs) call at Kidani first which makes it much easier to get a seat ( I guess there is a chance that has changed since we went last) |

We prefer Kidani, it's quieter, love the underground car park & the extra bathroom. The lack of QS doesn't really bother us as we rarely use it in the hotel anyway.
I love walking into Jambo and the wow factor of the lobby, but have only stayed there when we've managed to book value 1 beds otherwise always choose Kidani Savannah view.

Thanks everybody. Logged on today with the intention of booking kidani but saw that jambo value was available so booked that to save the points. Going twice next year so seemed a good use of points for a one bed and space shouldn’t be an issue for us whilst the boys are young.

I was going to say go for jambo simply because there is a note on the booking tool about the kidani pool being closed. But it’s worked out better as I really like the value rooms.
