I quite often see these mentioned on here and found this on BBC News yesterday.

The history of who developed them and his daring escape from Nazi occupied Holland by using a kayak to paddle across the North Sea.

Amazing the story behind an invention.

That is one hell of a story, experience and journey. Lovely to see the story of success out of such horrific life challenges.

We have had a Quooker tap since they were first available in the homes so many years now, I know not everyone is a fan but we would not be without one ever!

Was not aware of their escape across the North Sea - living in Essex have caught the ferry over to Holland more than once and the thought of doing it by Kayak brings into focus just how brave they were. Interesting read.
