I've had it years ago and have no effects now at all, however I couldn't swim on my front for about a year as keeping my head out of the water was too sore. Hope it doesn't affect you to badly, but definitely see GP, I know easier said than done.

I hope it feels better soon and you get the treatment you need.
I got whiplash a few years ago - we’d already told the insurance company that we were fine (the car wasn’t) but the next day I couldn’t even reach up to open the kitchen cupboards. It lasted a few weeks and was really horrible, but got better with treatment. The bizarre thing was that I’d had backache for years before the accident, and when my whiplash went away, so did the backache - that was 20 years ago, and it still hasn’t come back! I still feel guilty about the payment I got through insurance when the whiplash actually turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to me health-wise!

I had a car do the same but to a less degree a year ago, i was looking right at the roundabout and the impact shot me forward. The driver admitted fault and although my car was barely damaged (bumper cushion popped out, but went back in), her car front was pretty bad. I had bad neck pain the next day (right hand side), took plenty of painkillers and it eased over the next 2 weeks. I didn't claim for any money myself, just dealt with the issue and moved on.
Hope you manage to get sorted, get some rest, painkillers and see your GP if nec xx |

Get a decent physio sorted not just the one your insurer recommends. I had a combination of acupuncture, ultrasound and massage therapy to help relieve my whiplash after an accident similar to yours. Mr Tomorrow is right too, it can take a long time to sort the main thing is to get it sorted for the long term not to take a short term payout. Get well soon x
