Has anyone heard of this game...

Not a close friend, but a neighbour mentioned a game they play at Christmas. They buy loads of cheap gifts all year round and its a card game. Where you win the presents but someone can take the gift off you and then keep playing and you can win the present back... make sense...

The couple are not really friendly so I don't really want to ask what the game is called but would love to know if it rings a bell with anyone. Thank you. xx

It's the present game in our family. We all buy totally random tacky gifts you need 2 packs of cards the card bit I've forgotten how to do but will find out off my stepmum. If I remember it's something to do with the suits of the card pack. You get to steal each other's presents. There's always a coveted gift that everyone wants. We had a green mankini don't ask but everyone wanted it 😆😆😆

We call it the bag game. Little presents in gift bags so you can peek in and see what you’ve got but no one else knows. So if they steal your bag they don’t know what they are getting. Some are better than others. (At least one has Bloo loo cleaner most years. )

We call it reverse bingo but really it's more like a reverse raffle lol. We have raffle tickets or just numbers on a card, these are dealt out to everyone. The presents are wrapped up so no-one knows what's in them. Pick the numbers out of a hat and when one of your numbers is picked, you get to choose a prize. Once all of the prizes are taken, you can 'steal' the one you want when your next number is called... but they can also steal yours when their numbers are called. The people who have the prizes when all of the numbers have been called get to keep them. Everyone gets really competitive, it's great fun!

Two sets of cards. One the ‘reader’ has and the other pack is shared out between the players. Presents all in the middle. If a card you have is read out you pick a present, once all the presents are gone from the middle if one of your cards is read you can steal from another player. We play it every year we collect tat all year long for it 😂
