No FP and current queues

Disney are still running at reduced capacity, but many rides are hitting the 60min wait time pretty early in the morning even at the reduced park capacity.
We love FP as it means you know you are getting to do at least 3 rides you want each day.
They will be lifting the capacity over the next few weeks/months and i am sure this will just make wait times worst.
Is it just us, or will other people be put off from going if they dont bring back FP. I am not going on holiday to stand for several hours a day in queues.

They'll change it soon, people in queues aren't spending money.

Yes. I am holding of booking until I know FP+ is coming back.
It will not be a holiday if everyday we have to rope drop and line up for hours for rides.

My husband cannot physically stand for that long. He is disabled so yes he will get DAS pass but due to abuse you can only hold 1 ride at a time and return time is the current length if que. We will probably end up doing 1 or 2 rides a day as I'm not sure how well he will last in the parks in general. So if 2 x rides is above 90 mins each that's all we will do.

How they came to the conclusion that FP lines are higher risk than normal wait lines, I don't know. It'll be like back in the 90s if they don't bring it back.

If it does come back I very much doubt it will be free, so not sure how much difference it will make really.

The queues are down to the less capacity on rides due to social distancing/blocking out seats in the vehicles, than the lack of fast pass being available.

This^

If anything, bringing back fastpasses will lead to an increase in the standby wait times. However, they'll only bring back fastpasses once the social distancing restrictions are lifted. And when social distancing restrictions are lifted then they can run the attractions at full capacity and this should reduce standby wait times.

Of course, they'll only reduce back to around what they were before the pandemic hit. So they'll still be long. And those fastpass may no longer be free.

Thank goodness Disney is putting up prices and getting rid of stuff in order to put people off from visiting, eh? #sarcasm

They didn't come to the conclusion that FP lines were higher risk than normal lines.

They had to comply with social distancing restrictions and so couldn't have two lines running at the same time where there were choke points as the two lines merged. So they temporarily got rid of one of the lines. I'm not really sure it was necessary, but there we go.

Funnily enough, some people seem to think that the queues and wait times weren't as bad back in the 1990s as they were in the 2010s. For them, being back like the 90s would be a good thing.
