Our cat hasn't come home
Our lovely big orange cat didn't come home last night and he's not back tonight either. It's really unusual for him and normally he's kept in at night - we're racking our brains to try and remember if he was in last night or not before we closed the flap or if he slipped out somehow...
I just feel so worried now and I wondered if anyone else has had a cat not come home but who did in the end and how long it took |

Alison, yes, one of our girls went missing overnight a few years ago, it was awful, we were all so worried, I put leaflets through the neighbours doors and it turned out shed got locked into a neighbours garage, we were so relieved when she appeared, another thing we did was put her picture on the local Facebook page, I’ve also heard of people putting out litter trays because of the smell, good luck I hope he’s home soon xx

Cats are always going walkabouts for a few days here. Usually turn up after someone’s posted on our residents page asking if anyone’s seen them - they must read the page too 😄
I’m sure it’s off hunting and will be back soon. |

Some of mine often wander and I don't see them for a couple of days. Sometimes I think they come in when I'm not looking and go out again.
Rascal used to be out for days! Thomas often goes away for 36 hours. Bella went missing for 10 months when I moved here. I hate it when I don't see them each day though. The weather is nicer so perhaps he is making the most of it

Thank you both. I'm so worried I'm sobbing.
I have posted on our local Facebook posts and lost cats page. It's just so unlike him. Someone on the fb post suggested putting the litter outside, so I think we will do that. I really just wish he'd turn up |

Thank you. We keep ours in at night but last night we were out till a bit later and we're tired and we can't remember if he was in or not. I guess we have to wait and see 🥲

Our neighbour’s cat did this recently - turned out he snuck into our garage in the 30 seconds the door was opened while I did the bins. So ask around your neighbours to check their garages. Fingers crossed.

Thank you - we are planning to post some fliers tomorrow -
I realise a day isn't very long but it's out of character, which makes me worry |

We had one disappear for a week. It must have been stuck in a garage or something. It was fine but very hungry.
