For your research you need to check if Canada will let you in first, their quarantine rules if any apply when you hope to travel and don't forget that you would need to apply for an ETA too.

Also, how will you go about getting the antigen (PCR?) test whilst in Nassau?

Thanks for the info - it's really helping to shape a plan for us.
The hotel we’re staying in (admittedly it’s Mexico) is configured for US travellers so provides the test in hotel, free of charge. Assuming Bahamas will have similar set up in a good number of resorts.

I booked it all individually. Use BA multi-city for flights as you’re not doing a standard return booking. I too had flights originally with Virgin and just cancelled them, got a refund, and used that to pay for my new BA flights. And then I just used Expedia etc for accommodation.

I haven’t fully looked into where to get an Antigen test, but there Bahamas tourist website has about 300 places listed to get one, so I’ll probably just find the closest!

Looks like Canada is a no-go anyway. Their gov website has a questionnaire to complete that, based on my answers, responds with

'You will not be allowed to enter Canada, even if you have tested negative for COVID-19 or have received a COVID-19 vaccine.'

So that's that plan scratched off the list.

Are people connecting to Nassau/Cancun in the US or somewhere else?

When I was looking at this previously, I'd assumed that a connection in the US would not be allowed, or it OK as you're not connecting to a final US destination?

You can't transit in the US- they are flying direct on BA to Nassau or Cancun.

Ta - I'd assumed that was the case, but my search only gave me indirect routings through the US.

Thinking about it, they are probably not daily flights currently, so I need to track down a day when there are direct flights!
