Aer Lingus Glasgow - no longer an option?

Does anyone know if the GLA DUB MCO route with Aer Lingus is likely to return any time soon? I know the company that operated the GLA DUB part has gone bust, but thought the route might have been back by now. Thanks!

They're hoping to be back up and running by October

independent.ie/business/...-40612869.html

Though reading that, it may be some time before they pick up aircraft to have full schedules running

Not sure there'd be many folk wanting to pile over to Dublin as they've a 14 day quarantine in place

Think I’ll be crossing off that route from my list of options! Don’t think my nerve would hold until then! We’re not going until next July, but hoping to book next month. Many thanks for the info 😊

Try splitting your flighrs, see about flights from Glasgow to Dublin with BA or Ryanair then Dub-MCO.
We have found that BHX-DUB-MCO as a single flight ticket was much more expensive than booking the BHX-DUB and the DUB-MCO as seperate flights and have a night in Dublin.

Thanks - would that mean we would need to collect our luggage on arrival at Dublin and then check in for the MCO flight?

Yes, but that would also depend on if you are flying in the night before or on the day itself.

If it’s BA you might be able to check it through, but Ryanair not.
It’s quite easy at Dublin as you come in from U.K. in one terminal and then go to the other terminal for international flights.

Ah, ok. I think it would be ok on the way out, not so keen on the way back. Will keep an eye on the prices, though, just in case! Thanks again.

we are booked for the Aer Lingus route but through Edinburgh. Its still operating as far as I know and our flights havent been cancelled. We booked via BA and to be fair Edinburgh is as easy as Glasgow for us as we are in Motherwell. Have a look at that one as you might get a decent deal.

or as an alternate try Icelandair. I have flown with them a few times to Orlando and Washington DC and they were great. Loved those flights.

Aer Lingus flights are still available from Glasgow but they don't currently fly every day. I can book a flight for next week.
