School's Out

So, here we are, finally the end of term and all the teachers are frazzled and all the kids seem to have got their second wind. What I really need right now is a lovely relaxing holiday 🤣 of course that’s just what I’ve got to look forward to!

Earlier today I downloaded the Verifly app and started that process. I uploaded a photo of me, but taking one of Kate was harder than you might think 🤔 She kept laughing so in the end I wasn’t allowed to look at her as apparently I was putting her off and distracting her. I said “Just imagine I’ve said something embarrassing, roll your eyes and then you’ll be fine” 😉. Funnily enough that didn’t help!

I’m currently sitting in the garden enjoying some prosecco.

And singing along to a Spotify playlist with all my favourite Orlando songs...meaning songs that remind me of there. So, we just had Journey Don’t Stop Believin as that always used to play during the pre show for Fantasmic and I have a special memory of it.

Kate also wanted in on the celebration action, so I made her a Shirley Temple, I even found a Mickey straw from a previous trip.

Right now I’m just enjoying being here and not thinking about things I’ve not done and still got to do. I’m having fun singing along, ooh, now it’s Coldplay/Chainsmokers Something Just Like This.

There will be a packing frenzy, panicking galore and finally a travel day in the very near future.

Yay! I've got a mild headache not surprising really, nothing a couple of paracetamol won't cure and it was a great start to the holidays.

I've got big plans for today - reading all of the Dibb, Tesco for all of Max's snacks and sorting through all my clothes to decide what I want to take. Sounds like a perfect day.

The heat this week has helped to get us in the mood and be prepared. It's a little chillier down here now, buy I'm persevering in the garden with my morning tea, I've got a blanket over my legs though as there's a little bit of a breeze and its only 18 degrees! I'm definitely looking forward to the Florida heat.

I'll be the annoying dibber that keeps posting updates over the next few days, brace yourselves, I'm a little excited 😊
