Which one first? Universal or Disney?

We’re staying in site for the first time 5 days universal and 14 days Disney. Can’t decide which way to do it. We were thinking universal first then move over to Disney, but we’re going that start of july so that would mean either first or second day would be fab of July at universal and would be crazy busy. I know it will be busy at Disney but we’ve more time there.
When we’ve went previously at that time we’ve stayed away from parks on the 4th

Before the 2018 trip we stayed off site so mixed up visiting the parks during the trip. In 2018 stayed on site for the first time and did 5 nights at universal first and then 10 nights at Disney. This worked well and this trip doing 9 nights Universal followed by 11 nights at Disney. During the universal part will also be doing Seaworld and Busch.

Don't think it matters to much really lots do it the other way round.

I agree that it doesn’t really matter. We’ve done this a few times and always done Disney first. First time we did this we stayed beach club so were worried RPR would feel like a disappointment but it didn’t. This time we can’t afford BC so really looking forward to RPR as we know what to expect and love it (staying CSR first). I’m sure it will be enjoyable whichever way you do it 😊

We're doing 4 nights at Universal and then 14 at Disney in September, starting at Universal. We're staying at RPR though so get the express passes.

I'd do Disney first as you have more flexability with more parks, also I think Universal is a little more relaxing, plus disney opens earlier so at the start that works well.

We did 4 n Universal first then 11 n at Disney - we chose this as we always like to end our trip with Magic Kingdom fireworks. But totally understand your thoughts re busyness of Universal

We’ve done both ways 4/10 split then 10/4 split. Think I preferred the Disney first then universal way. But really don’t think it matters. Spent more time around the pool at Universal. Made use of the early starts at Disney and RPR FOL passes at universal at the end.

My thinking was Universal was the shorter amount of nights, so once we got to Disney we’d be settled for the remainder, but I suppose universal being more chilled would be better at the end

We prefer to do Universal first. As you say it’s the shorter stay so we get the move over and done with early and get settled in to the Disney hotel. We also like to end the holiday at Disney.

We prefer universal first, we like to unpack properly once at Disney. This year Disney for 1 night, universal for 6 then the remaining back at Disney. Our last night always has to be Magic Kingdom fireworks.
