Disney q3 earnings

As above Disney making big profits and adding more subs to Disney +
But the big standout was the theme parks as attendance up and spending per guest up a wooping 40% on 2019
Sadly this is gonna keep Bob cheapskate policies that everyone hates going for the foreseeable 🤨

Disney+ just overtook Netflix for number of subscribers, over 220 million, and are raising the subscription price in the US by 37.5% for the ad free version & introducing a version with ads for the same price that the ad free was.
Disney+ has been Chapek’d

To be fair think that was the plan all along Disney plus is losing money and won't be profitable until 2024 so they say so expect more price increases

Mickey Views did a great vid on YouTube about this the other day, well worth a watch if you’re interested in the figures and what it really means.

Meanwhile Bob Cheapskate -

Speaking to CNBC earlier today, Disney CEO Bob Chapek has indicated that price increases are likely coming to the theme parks, and it is all because of guest demand.

Chapek said, "We read demand. We have no plans right now in terms of what we’re going to do, but we operate with a surgical knife here,”

So there we have it.

I operate with a surgical knife too and have 'cut' Disney from my trip plans for a while now

How much of that 40% is just down (or up!) to Disney's inflated prices?! As opposed to actually buying more in terms of quantity, I mean.

As Donald Duck would say, "Ah Phooey!"

Disney used to read guest satisfaction as well as guest demand. Now, reports suggest it's more about what they can get away with?

"We operate with a surgical knife here..."
