I use a cord with little rubber loops at the end, I feel it's more secure than the straps with tubes you push the glasses arms into. I've worn my glasses on hundreds of coasters.

Here's my glasses holder-onner

$1.25 from Dollar Tree - worked a treat on the coasters.

The glasses also from Dollar Tree and I used them at Volcano Bay in the lazy rivers in case I got caught under the waterfalls where you're likely to have your expensive glasses knocked off your face.

I've had these for a couple of years, I definitely wouldn't describe them as stylish but it gives me peace of mind and ride operators can see them and don't ask me to remove my glasses:
