We’d have had some different birds in the garden this week. We often have magpies and pigeons but these looked like a larger version of a - zut what are they called! The birds that eat the sugar liquid from a container! Humming bird ! No real idea what they are but they look lovely.

We have also had quite a few smaller birds of prey circling over the fields opposite! Make a change from the very big birds (aka as planes) in the sky!

Has anyone else seen any new wildlife in their gardens?
I wonder if the new birds are there because of the lack of planes overhead? It seems a possibility.

We have lots of varieties of birds in our garden, from small wrens and long tailed tits, to herons and buzzards. It costs me a fortune in bird seed and nuts each week but I love watching them from the window. We get them throughout the summer and winter, so they are very entertaining. Although I do hope they leave my seeds alone 😀

We also get rabbits (which is why I can’t plant directly into the ground only in pots) foxes and squirrels (which Rolo does not like at all 😂 )

Your plants have their own little greenhouse 👍🏻
That’s a really good idea. Also a good way of reusing plastic to be useful

[QUOTE=DisneyDaffodil;14426434]It’s turned colder here today. Should I keep my seedlings covered through the day to protect them or are they ok uncovered? I know they need sunlight too so I’m not sure whether to cover or not. It’s starting to seem complicated looking after plants

No help with the plants sorry but the weather here in North Wales has been lovely today we’ve still got the patio doors open

I love kites, there aren’t any in our part of Wales but mid Wales have them and they look fantastic as they fly overhead. Same with buzzards, and we have a few of those here. I love their cry too. I’m pretty good on identifying birds (much better than plants 😂 )

It’s been gorgeous here until today but the temperature dropped a lot today and rain promised tomorrow. You know that once it starts raining here in Wales, it’s here for a while

I do think all our dogs are going to find it strange when they are left again. Our cat is really close to DD and we were worried when she went to uni last October that he would miss her. He did, but she came home every 3 weeks for a weekend to see Simba. He’s loving having her home again now
What a coincidence
We have a cat called Taffy

He’s sweet, I love the little white bit on his nose 😂

I think there are a lot of Taffys as pets here in Wales 😀 My friends are Welsh but have moved to Somerset so his name is less usual there

We have rented a boat at Disney which we both enjoyed but I would love to rent a boat on the Nutler chain of lakes and dream of the million dollar mansions there

was a lovely sunny afternoon in Hampshire today - started off cloudy but brightened up after lunch. Needed my cardigan today though as it was a bit chilly. Expecting lots of rain tomorrow!
