The Mummy

Watched RixFlix last night …. Most of the hoarding is down and he said they were testing the wait time clock. I had resigned myself to this being closed for our July/August trip as it was always late summer for opening but I’m allowing myself to get a little bit excited that we might just manage to ride this!

It's a dark roller coaster so a little bit scary in that you don't know what's coming until you've ridden it. I don't remember it going upside down though and it is a lot of fun! I'm not a huge coaster person, you'd never find me on Manta or anything like that, but the Mummy is my favourite ride at Universal.

It’s been years since we’ve done Universal! I’m a bit of a coaster junkie but I’ll be taking my 13 year old twins on this, it’s not super scary that I can remember!

It’s abit “jumpy” in places but not much.
Finally get to take dd11 on as she was too small last time, I reckon it’ll be one of her favourite universal rides!

I am a scaredy cat when it come to roller coasters but I love the mummy! It’s quite fast near the end but such that it makes me laugh in excitement, my son is a bit apprehensive about the earlier parts (the scenes are quite intense and he has quite a vivid imagination - so I guess for some the scenes can be scary, but the motion of the ride itself is a thrill without being scary imho (and I won’t do things like hulk etc)

I would love to do this ride (the film is such an important one to me) ...

I remember in 1999 when we were on our first trip (I was in America to see Star Wars... my sister had suggested we go to Florida as she wanted to go to Universal, I had no idea it existed).

On the plane they showed the IoA show reel (you had no choice but to watch it lol), I had no idea what to expect and my brain always paints it's own truth. I seem to remember the promo of JP had someone hanging off at the top of a waterfall lol. As such a big Jurassic Park fan I was desperate to do the JP River Ride... finally got my courage up to do it in 2003... went off by myself did it a couple of times and had to buy the photo as my face was a picture.

I do the baby roller coasters Thunder Mountain, Mine Ride, Flying Unicorn, Woody Woodpecker lol.

For some reason I have never done Test Track and was going to do that this year but Guardians may be a step too far. I panic in dark and don't like to show that If I can't relax, I can't enjoy the ride.

If I can do Space Mountain for the first time I may try to do Mummy this year... maybe 23 or 24 lol

Surely can't be far away now.

Would say the coaster will make you jump with the effects but isn't a scary roller coaster in the sense that I can't recall any big drops or going upside down etc

Disappointed it’s still closed. We are there 4 nights from the 18th July.
