Hi
does anyone have any good reports of nerja,on the costa del sol?we are looking for a quieter location,and this seems to fit the bill

we havnt been now for @10 years but used to go at least once a year

its a lovely quiet resort no massive hotels (again 10 years ago but cant imagine they are there now) can only think of one biggish hotel the RUI but not massivly overbearing

the town centre/balcon area is great of an evening. plenty of beaches to choose from, we used to stay in a villa in the Burriana area but this does have a big hill into the centre but a nice area

Frigliana is a nice day out lovely white wash village up in the hills

Granada not to far away

I agree all what the above op says.
It is a really lovely quite place.
We first went about 25 years ago when it was really a slow pace of life..it was the first time we had been to mainland Spain and fell in love with Nerja...so decided to move there...but it was too expensive so moved further down the Almeria coast and stayed for 11 years
..visiting Nerja many times whilst there ..as we have friends in Frigliana.
Capistrano Oasis is a lovely place to stay with a nice walk to Burriana beach or into the town...you wont be disappointed.

my father in laws business partner had a place there we stayed there a few times , agreed nice quiet area with walks into town or burriana

a friend of my wife also moved out there 'blind' they literally bought a place without even visiting the resort area... they are still there >15 years later
