This advice has changed again and Tesco have refused my claim stating I have to claim through ATOL, which I have now done.

I understand this is a huge operation but I am down a lot of money and I’m getting very frustrated by the constant moving is the goal posts and no clarity as to A) who is going to refund me and B) when this is going to happen.

It seems completely pot luck.

I’ve submitted a claim on the CAA website and got a claim number but haven’t had a confirmation email. Has anyone else had one or had their refund yet?

Had my refund 3 days ago - flight only booked with Tesco Credit card.

Same, I messaged and was told within 45 days. That was not for payment , that was for them to next update me.

Sainsburys Credit Card sent me a dispute form today, 19 days after first call. Very brief form but detailed I should have called insurance company first, twice in the form.

Wrote back using section 75 letter from MSE website added booking form and credit card statement.

We'll see how it goes.
