That's also rather opposite to my 3 experiences at CG brunch... if I don't remember wrongly, my ADRs previously were all around noon and I've stayed there past 2pm before, with the CMs happy to let me slowly finish up my food and take a wander out to the observation deck after!
I wonder if it's the CM? I've been lucky to get a couple of great servers and I find that sometimes the CM can make or break the signature dining experience... (I'm going back for a 4th CG brunch in just over 2 weeks!)

Wasn't like that when we did it. If it was I would have complained to the manager in charge. Sounds like the CM serving you was having a bad day.

We didn't rate the food as outstanding at the Cali Grill brunch but the service was good, your experience not on. It does seem inconsistent even by known Disney standards of inconsistency

I know some people don't do confrontation but no way would I put up with what the OP did.
My stance is if I am not ready back it goes, but only after I have cut it or moved it around so I know the same dish isn't coming back! Personally as the server had said about desserts being boxed up I would have stood up and walked out without paying and told the podium staff why on the way out. Done it a few times.

That’s absolutely shocking from a restaurant that considers itself such a good one.
I had a terrible service experience here myself some years ago, did complain to the manager (I rarely complain) who left me feeling worse.

Last 2 visits here have been awful. We gave it a chance but never again. Servers were poor and so "up their own". Minimal tip.
Oh the good old days of Disney Signatures. |

we loved the brunch and had amazing service but the dinner was probably our least favourite meal, slow service and the food was brought out just before the fireworks were starting so we didn't get a great view on the platform and had to inhale our food

We weren't bowled over by our last dinner there, we hadn't been for a couple of years and DD chose it last year on her birthday as she'd never been - it was ok but not lovely, and we probably won't return for dinner. Brunch though - we love.
