Box sets on sky , can I get rid of them?

So I have my Sky bill... Box sets is showing as £41.50.Sky Cinema, £19.00 and Sky q multiscreen pack ,£13.00. I don't ever watch box sets so was wondering if I can just dump this part, does anyone know? Would I just loose box sets or is it bundled ? It must have come free or bundled at one point because it is something we wouldn't bother with hence we don't . Sky won't talk to me as it's not my name on the account but my other half has asked me to have a word with them about it .I must have been paying for it for sometime now and not really thought about it but the bill comes to £73.00 and could do with it being reduced.Anyone got any ideas ?

You can get rid of the boxsets but they will only speak to the account holder unless your other half has told Sky you have authority to deal with the account.

Thanks vowels,
If I can give him a bit to go on he will phone them ,otherwise I will just spend the next few months chirping on at him while he says "yeah ,I'll phone them "but wont lol.So hopefully I can just drop box sets and loose just those.I have to have History channel and stuff like that but I think that might be the multiscreen pack

If he doesn’t like phoning up, you can ring with him in the room and explain he’s the account holder and you both want to drop the box sets. Explain he wants you to discuss it with them as he prefers you to deal with things, he will just have to speak to them briefly to confirm he’s happy for you to discuss this and then the adviser will deal with you.

You can also ask them how to set you up as being able to deal with the account as well as your DH. I think they can give you an address where your DH can write and request this. You have to be able to pass security questions such as the password for the account etc but it’s straightforward to do. We did it as my DH never rang to sort out new deals and it was costing us a fortune, so now I deal with it all.

Get your oh to call and set up a password which gives authority for you to call and make changes on his behalf.

Yes, you can get rid of them. I was offered them at £1 per month, (HD for £1 per month too)but declined as we don’t watch as much sky now

Do Live Chat that way you get a copy of whats said and they have no idea if its you or your husband!
I have actually spoken to them before now saying that my husband wants to cancel but I don't can they do anything to lower the price so its more acceptable to him, before he rings to cancel. They did. That was about 3 years ago tho Now I need to do something as the price crept up again!

You can dump box sets, but they're only part of the £41.50. You should be able to get iyour main package down to about £32,plus £11 for cinema and £13 for Sky Q, a saving of £19.
