First proper walk since hospital discharge

And it was truly wonderful, lifted my spirits and mood whilst waiting for tests. Autumn here in my world is fab and yesterday we walked in the Sierra

Black footed pigs. Fed on acorns and eventually make the famous jamón for which my village is known for...sorry veggies

Across the valley looking into the clouds

Alcorcón oak tree harvested bark which your wine corks are made from. My region is a major cork harvest area

Ruta de castaño. Route of the chestnut trees. These will turn colour in the next four to give weeks

Finally a chestnut wood. I think in two weeks the villagers will gather the chestnuts to take home

Stunning pictures, you really do live in a beautiful area. You must be walking on air literally and metaphorically.
Interesting to see where the cork comes from, I bought a couple of really pretty cork bracelets from the Cork shop whilst on holiday.

Lovely photos. Surprisingly verdant. No idea what I had been thinking, but obviously I had pictured something more arid in my head. And I never even knew I had given it any thought. Strange the things our heads do.
