BA Tampa flight

I booked yesterday for BA to TPA. As it was the cheapest if i wanted to return to the same airport i left from.

I have seen MCO flights are starting from LHR in October but still flights show from LGW for next year to. I guess TPA will follow the same fate as MCO flights.

Is there any news on TPA flights switching to LHR? I can't see much online about it.

As I understand it BA have changed their “winter” schedule to fly out from LHR.
At present as far as I know their is no news on the “summer” schedule.

I have a LGW to MCO flight booked and I’m hoping it stays from LGW. Although in May I could book the early BA flight from LGW but then there was later in the day a flight from both LGW or LHR.

Think it will be wait and see.

I have done the LGW to Tampa flights with BA previously and really liked Tampa airport.

I am doing LGW to Tampa in May, be quite happy if it switched to Heathrow as come from South Wales lol

BA "planned" Summer 2021 Schedule was announced a while ago and shows the following:-

LHR-MCO BA 205/ MCO-LHR BA 204
LGW-MCO BA2037/MCO-LGW BA2036
LGW-MCO BA2039/MCO-LGW BA2038

These flights can be booked at this stage and hopefully no cancellations will occur.

At this stage TPA isn't going over to LHR but we all know things can change.

If flights change airports do they just notify you of the change or cancel the flight?!

We are from Newport but flying with friends one of which works in Gatwick so both have positives.

Wife spoke to a recently made redundant BA cabin crew and she stated we shod expect the switch to LHR but don't commit to hotels or car parks unless refundable just yet.
