haha omg just too early, keep seeing them everywhere but will hold off until at least mid November. Enjoy, I definitely think we need a mince pie review thread, with pics and comments. I tried so many last year and struggled to settle on ones we liked both the filling and pastry. Hate overly thick pastry and no filling.

We love mince pies and have a rule that we'll only eat them in December. We usually open the first box after we put the tree up on 1st December.
My hubby suggested that we have them early this year as it's been a c**p year and how could I refuse?! We have a box coming with our grocery delivery tomorrow |

We had some morrisons "the best" florentine mince pies. They were OK. The mincemeat was like smooth goop so it needed the textured topping. Tasted good, but not great...
I like open top or iced ones rather than ones with pastry on top. |

Our boss bought some for us to have with our afternoon drink today. DH had some last week though. Very early but very yummy.

My Mom brought me some a couple of weeks ago, they went straight in the freezer I try not to have any until at least December. My friend always bakes me some which I collect just before Christmas and I also freeze some of them to last through January . Looking forward to the puff pastry ones in the supermarket, yummy 😋
