We went at Christmas a few years ago (link in my doggy for the trip report)
It needn’t cost a fortune. For sport look at Brooklyn (the Nets for basketball, forgot for the ice hockey) as it is often a lot cheaper! We used the subway - it was $31 for a week’s pass. Worth every cent! Edited at 05:31 PM. |

Food isn’t too bad , it’s like London , avoid the tourist traps. Lots of Delis with huge menus at a reasonable price.

Make a list of all the things you want to do, find where they are on the map and make a route. I split days into morning, noon and night and planned a route for either walking, taxis or underground. I found it really helped so we saw everything we wanted and didn’t go round in circles. Do as much research as you can. We can’t wait to go back in July

Hi we took three teen boys in 2016, I did a trippy, link my signature. We did most stuff together but one morning we let them have a lie in and did some stuff ourselves. We also did a baseball game for them to enjoy and USS Intrepid.

Wow. Thank you so much for all the helpful replies.
I’ll definitely get the map out and plot where we’re going. I’ll check out the trip reports too. Will definitely check out the delis when we’re there. Huge thanks again. 👍 |

Another vote for the delis. Much better value!
